COVID-19 vaccination appointments are available!


We are offering the COVID-19 vaccine to ages 12 and older. Appointments can be made online and through telephone. If slots do not fill, same-day walk-ins will be accepted.

 

COVID-19 UPDATE

As the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to affect our communities, our relationship with you as your primary healthcare provider becomes increasingly important.

At Prima Health Clinic, we believe it is our responsibility to continue to prioritize the health and safety of our patients, their family, and our team members. While your patient experience may look and feel different during this time, please know that we are making changes to prioritize your safety and care.

Please call before coming in or schedule online appointment at our website primahealthclinic.com.  Our office will implement HIPAA compliant Telemedicine visit for your safety and convenience starting March 23.  Your insurance coverage of Telemedicine visit will be the same as in office visit.  You will need access to a computer with a webcam or a smartphone.  In selected cases, we may be able to conduct a telephone audio-only visit for those without access to such devices.  You can also reach us via portal message for our staff and physician to return your message for any refills, referrals, home health, or other health questions.

In accordance to CDC guidelines, we are taking preventative measures to keep our staff and our patients safe.

What in office measures?

At Prima Health Clinic, we follow CDC recommended sterilization procedures.  We have implemented additional layers of infection control to protect our staff and patients. Some of the changes are as follows:

  • Scheduling of patient visits modified to comply with the current social distancing; limit 1 friend or family member to accompany the patient to the appointment; reduce waiting room time for patients.
  • Increased the frequency of disinfecting in all common areas and patient exam rooms
  • All patients, visitors and staff will wear face mask in office.
  • All medical staff members must wash hand or use hand sanitizer between patients

If you are feeling sick?

If you, members of household or recent contact are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, or other respiratory symptoms that could be COVID-19 related due to contact with someone under investigation for or with confirmed case of Novel Coronavirus, or have you, members of your household, or recent contact travelled internationally or a hot spot area in the US in the past 14 days, elderly or high risk group, defined as older adults over 65 years old and individuals with chronic medical conditions and an immunocompromised state that put you at higher risk for poor outcomes (e.g., diabetes, heart disease, receiving immunosuppressive medications, chronic lung disease, chronic kidney disease).  DO NOT come into the office.  

Call us to schedule a Telemedicine to allow assessment by one of the physicians for further recommendations.

We offer drive up check for fever, pulse oximeter, oral swab for strep test, nasal swab for Biofire RP EZ Panel that tests for Viruses: Adenovirus, Coronavirus (common strains 229E, NL63, OC43, HKU1), Human Metapneumovirus, Human Rhinovirus/Enterovirus, Influenza A, Influenza A/H1, Influenza A/H3, Influenza A/H1-2009, Influenza B, Parainfluenza Virus, Respiratory Syncytial Virus and Bacteria: Bordetella pertussis, Chlamydophila pneumoniae, Mycoplasma pneumonia.  Please call ahead to arrange our staff to meet you in your car for triage and testing.

We follow CDC guidelines for COVID -19 testing. 

COVID-19 testing (PCR) can be sent to the lab at with curbside nasopharyngeal swab for our patient that deemed necessary.   Please call our office for details.

Please schedule a telemedicine visit for antibody testing IgM, IgG, IgA with Roche COBAS ECLIA Method for patients suspected COVID 19, confirmed COVID 19 after 14 days symptoms free to ensure they have immunity.

What about my appointments or check up?

If you are not sick, you may schedule a telemedicine visit or in office appointment, lab draws or office procedures.  We ask that you call ahead in order for us to comply with social distancing.

What about Supplement purchase?

Supplement may be purchased for walk-in traffic, phone orders or email primahealthcliic@gmail.com

If you are unable to enter office, please call to order and one of the staff members will bring the purchase to your vehicle.

We offer free ground shipping next day on all supplement orders over $75 in Dallas, Austin, Houston or Oklahoma areas.

We realize that this situation is fluid and are actively monitoring information from local, state and national agencies. We urge you and everyone in our community to take appropriate, and rational steps to minimize the spread of COVID-19 virus.
